Our client based in Middlesex, is a multinational construction group with offices worldwide, specialising in design, supply and site installation of insulation products.

These include thermal insulation, refractories, fireproofing and corrosion protection for major chemical, petrochemical, gas and power projects located worldwide.

You will be involved in providing the following services:-

-Detailed specifications of materials based on an analysis of all the project's variables, including ambient temperature, wind speed, fluid operating temperature and surface temperature. Analysis and calculations to evaluate heat transfer and to precisely determine the optimal insulation thickness for a project, where required

  • Retailed take-offs from client blueprints and drawings, featuring comprehensive computer-generated bills of materials.
  • Detailed CAD design drawings showing material specifications and installation procedures.
  • Knowledge of Designing the optimal support structure for insulation and cladding Wind and roof loading. This requirement is not essential.

Comprehensive installation which covers materials storage, packing lists and bills of materials, instructions and drawings for correct installation, and precautions for safe handling and use of the materials supplied. Our detailed manuals enable clients to perform their own installations.

On-site supervision, technical advice and energy audits and consultation.

The company is now looking to take on Insulation Estimation Engineers, who are degree qualified (or equivalent ) in either mechanical or chemical engineering and are PC literate. We would also consider those with good experience and keen to and develop themselves.

You will start off by preparing estimates, quotations, dealing with suppliers, handling enquiries from new and existing clients and expediting the contracts. You should be familiar with drawing take offs for boilers, pipework, General arrangement drawings etc.

Due to the location of the company's clients, you must be prepared to work extra hours to finish a job within the deadline set and above all - manage the clients expectations by completing the job on time.

There will also be international travel to sites where company's insulation products are being installed, which will not only bring you into direct contact with our clients, but also will build up your knowledge of the insulation industry.
