My client, a leader within their field, is currently recruiting for a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer to join the IT team based in their corporate head office close to Paddington station.

The overall purpose of the role is it to provide 1st and 2nd line support for all systems and services to all remote internal users to agreed SLA's and day to day administration of applications and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional 1st and 2nd line support service to agreed service levels and group customer service standards.
  • Record, monitor and maintain all service logs on the Service Desk system
  • Escalate all issues through appropriate channels making sure Service Levels are maintained and users updated.
  • Maintain and keep up to date the user database on all systems, including Active Directory, IT asset register and Service Management software.
  • Provide Support for Company PDA's and phones

The ideal candidate will have experience of providing second line support for the following applications and operating systems, Windows 7, 10, Active Directory on Windows Server 2008 & 2016, Terminal Services.

You much have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be dealing with internal, remote users over the phone and via email

This is initially a temporary position for 12 weeks but has the potential to move on to a 2 year contract for the right candidate. This role is to start as soon as possible so please only apply if you're available immediately
