My well known client based in Watford are looking for a Brand Manager to deliver the brand marketing strategy, encompassing brand positioning, strategies and key activities. Set brand and financial KPIs, interpreting consumer research, sales data, business priorities and the trading environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop a vision for the Social Media plan for the brand in the short to medium term.
  • Develop a set of rolling contingency and tactical plans in order to respond to variances from sales expectation.
  • Monitor and understand weekly sales in order to escalate issues and trends and activate tactical and contingency plans.
  • Ensure brand strategies are being implemented through the line by Brand Activation Team; influence interdependent departments such as retail, online, PR, Broadcast, NLL.
  • Accountable for delivery of high quality and fully developed advertising campaigns.
  • Provide advertising campaign briefings to Brand Activation Team and relevant 3rd parties.
  • Review and sign off brand campaigns.

Skills

  • Experience of working in an FMCG company or similar brand marketing experience
  • Knowledge of cross channel communications across major channel areas such as advertising, sales and media promotions, retail. online and POS to a sufficiently high level to be able to direct and evaluate the development of cross channel communications plans to meet set objectives
  • An understanding of the total media marketplace. Specifically, a high level of understanding of the TV, press, radio and outdoor media markets to be able to interpret econometric data and media buying briefs
  • Financial planning and analysis skills for use in the analysis of finances, game and revenue performance, sales trends etc. to provide accurate interpretation of macro trends for use in the development of strategy and corrective actions
  • Track record in managing and implementing promotional activity with third parties
  • Knowledge of communication evaluation processes and brand performance metrics to a sufficient level to be able to define brand and communication metrics for campaign activities and to analyse performance and tracking data in order to evaluate performance against objectives
