Our client based in Staines,Surrey are currently seeking a Customer Services Collections Advisor on a full time 12 month contract basis to commence ASAP.

The key aspect of this role is dealing with difficult customers and assisting them in maintaining their repayments . You will be dealing with a variety of customers all with their own individual difficult circumstances. At all times the most important things to consider is treating the customer fairly.

Ideally, the suitable candidate will have previous experience of collections and within the Asset Finance industry. However, this is not a specific requirement as the successful candidate will receive full training, they should however have the drive and enthusiasm to work in a busy target driven environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Handling both inbound and outbound calls with customers in an arrears situation for a successful resolution.
  • Assessing and resolving enquiries, requests and complaints
  • Liaise with external collections agents when required.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance is always maintained with strictly regulated processes and procedures.
  • Identifying risk
  • Collecting outstanding repayments and reducing overall debt in accordance with specific targets set.
  • Working towards and achieving both departmental and individual targets.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

Applicants should have experience of working in a collections/debt recovery Role preferably within asset finance.

  • Excellent communication skills in discussing difficult issues with customers and providing satisfactory resolutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure that all communication is recorded accurately and in line with current regulatory procedures.
  • TCF experience desirable
