Are you an experienced Finance Manager with extensive experience of using the SAP ERP sysem and EMEA shared service centre exposure who is looking for your next permanent position?

Parkside are currently recruiting for a General Ledger Finance manager to work for a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Watford area. In order to apply you must have 5-7 years experience of team leading and recent or current experience of using the SAP system. Furthermore, they would ideally like the selected candidate to have had exposure to EMEA, US GAAP and a shared service centre environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with key financial and operations business partners to further optimise/enable business practices through the existing ERP ensuring all general ledger related accounting transactions are captured and reported accurately and timely in the company's financial statements in accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Working with the Record-to-Report team and business partners to continue to drive process efficiency's through further automation in the EMEA Finance Shared Services Centre
  • Managing the daily activities of the General Ledger team ensuring that accounting transactions are processed timely which includes but is not limited to general ledger system maintenance, account reconciliations, closing and consolidations reporting
  • Identifying and resolving all issues for the GL Accounting team timely in an effort
  • Coordinating the financial statement close cycle for GL team in order to ensure accurate and timely capture and recording of all accounting transactions in the appropriate period
  • Preparation of monthly KPI metrics and other analyses

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Accountant - ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified or a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience with at least 5 years dealing with processes and data related to transactional processing in the area of Record-to-Report - At least 3-5 years of leadership experience included is a must
  • Extensive General Ledger process knowledge and US GAAP technical expertise
  • Finance SSC Experience in large multinational company with a high volume, performance driven environment
  • Must have SAP experience
  • Experience in a similar role within another large corporation
  • Experience with leading projects to further automate manual business processes
  • Change Management experience
  • International management experience
  • Managerial skills / experience leading multinational teams
  • Big Four experience/background preferred
