An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated European Compensation & Benefit Specialist to join this international organisation based in Bracknell, Berkshire for a period of 4 months.

Key responsibilities and tasks:

Reporting to the Compensation and Benefit Department Manager, the role will contribute to developing HR policies and schemes and will be included in multiple implementations and project roll-outs across Europe. You will also be responsible for benchmarking salary and bonus plans to ensure competitiveness and assisting with the annual pay cycle activities, such as annual performance related pay review.

As a member of the team, you will be involved in general HR activity and projects as required taking an active role in delivering and developing an exceptional HR service to business.

Main Responsibilities:

Regional compensation and benefit management

  • Complete salary and benefit survey and benchmarking exercise
  • Analyse compensation trends in order to review and update the pay and benefits packages
  • Create and maintain compensation metrics/analytics,
  • Present data results and suggest best action and plan
  • Responsible for evaluating jobs using Hay methodology system
  • Support the Department Manager in revising job grading and complete the European implementation
  • Assemble and maintain a regional job description library

Regional appraisal management

  • Support the annual appraisal cycle and pay review
  • Administer the Senior Management regional appraisal operations under the supervision of Compensation and Benefit Department manager
  • Collect salary review annual budget data from European markets

HR policy management

  • Participate in revising the internal working regulations across the region
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the various HR policies such as the promotion scheme, appraisal scheme, reward policy, mobility scheme, travel policy, job grading and other Compensation and benefits policy

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and experiences:

  • Evidenced experience and achievements in European compensation and benefit
  • Knowledge and experience in job evaluation and compensation analysis
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with HR or professional certification or qualifications desirable
  • Ability to undertake analytical work with good numerical skills
  • Ability to interact well with people at all levels within the organisation with excellent communication skills (Written and spoken)
  • Flexibility to travel as required
  • Language: fluency in English, additional European language is an advantage
  • Excellent MS Office skills (especially Excel - Functions including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts)
