33434 - Events Coordinator

My client is looking for an experienced Events Coordinator who has the ability to provide excellent customer service and to act as the initial point of contact in dealing with conference, group reservations and events bookings whilst maximising profit. Must have experience working within a Hotel!

Location: Weybridge
Salary: Up to £22,000
Hours: Monday to Friday: 35 hour working week and 1 in 4 Saturdays

Key duties:

  • Send proposals, chase enquiries and obtain signed contacts
  • Maximising occupancy of rooms and probability
  • Entering data into systems for both events and reservations
  • Liaising with the customer and assisting with the full event planning process
  • Conducting show rounds to ensure customers are familiar with the function rooms
  • Build sales opportunities through customer contact and show rounds
  • Handling guest feedback in a professional manner via telephone and email

Key requirements:

  • Events experience
  • Organisation and time management, keeping to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Admin & problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Maximising sales
  • Team player
  • Good knowledge on hotel facilities
