An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Assistant to join a busy, friendly team for a period of 6 months based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

You will support the HR team in delivering a quality HR service to the business and to continuously improve HR service and promote our client's core values in all tasks undertaken.



Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting managers in the recruitment process including posting and updating job advertisements.
  • Responding to all communication in a professional and timely manner
  • Update Intranet and organisation charts
  • Support HR initiatives and projects
  • Manage the data held on HR database
  • Preparation of HR statistics
  • Providing support in processing payroll administration and queries
  • Ad hoc support for formal processes, including taking minutes and arranging meetings
  • Support and advise managers from an informal standpoint
  • Any other duties appropriate to the post as required by the manager to support the HR service
  • Drafting of HR correspondence to support the HR Advisors and HR Administrator

  • Maintain professional and personal boundaries with all customers, parents & carers, colleagues and other professionals
  • Take responsibility for own continuous professional development and maintaining an adequate level of knowledge and skills pertaining to the role.
  • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required of this role and as requested by Manager(s).
  • Take all reasonable precautions to maintain the health and safety of self and others, ensuring that any risks in relation to this are reported and remedial action taken in a timely manner.
  • Comply at all times with the company's policies and procedures.
  • Comply with GDPR at all times.
  • Actively support and promote our business objectives, operating model and core values.



Person Specification

All staff are required to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality services to customers in line with our client's Vision & Values with a passion to provide high quality person centred services, regardless of what role they perform within the business.

Experience and Skills

  • Professional Experience in care sector (desirable)
  • Aspirational Business acumen
  • Customer service orientated
  • CIPD qualified (level 3 desirable)
  • Proactive and uses initiative
  • Experience working in an HR Administration/Assistant role
  • Team player but can also work independently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office & Google doc
  • Polite, helpful and professional telephone manner
  • Ability to travel to other hubs across Surrey when necessary
  • Conscientious
  • Strong attention to details
  • Can demonstrate administration experience
  • Basic or Portable DBS required (Client will re-imburse/apply on your behalf)
