Contract - HR Shared Services Associate I
The Position
We have an 18 month contract opportunity for an HR Shared Services Associate to support the EMEA HR Team based at Stockley Park.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Provide support to the specific markets with a focus on delivering a high level of customer service to the HR Business Partners, Managers and Employees
- First point of contact for all Human Resources related inquiries received by telephone and email.
- Provide Subject Matter expertise in HR processes, policies and tools
- Contribute to the on-going development of the HR Answer FAQ library
- Utilize CRM technology to track and manage inquiries for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Perform data entry, audits, password resets and manage other HR system related activities.
- Manage Employee files including daily filing, audits and archiving
- Provide ad-hoc support for a range of processes including onboarding, off boarding, benefits, absence tracking, and payroll
- Participate in the on-going evolution of the Shared Services organization in terms of values, operations and service delivery
- Liaise with internal Gilead departments and Third-Party service providers as necessary.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
- Fluency in English, and an additional European language (Dutch, Polish, Spanish, French, German, Turkish, Italian) is essential.
- Familiarity and understanding of general HR policies and procedures
- Strong Customer Service orientation while maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentially with each interaction
- Solid verbal, written, interpersonal and telephone communication skills
- Ability to identify critical situations and take action to escalate per a given process or circumstance
- Effective team-working orientation and skills
- Ability to multitask yet remain detailed-oriented with sound time management skills.
- Must possess strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
- Experience with Workday a plus
- Must be able to perform job responsibilities and duties under minimal supervision
