Our client is looking for Inventory Assistant with a varied background in the following disciplines;


Forecasting, Shipment and Logistics
- Manage and develop internal and customer forecasts along with reviewing historical trends, research present demand drivers and prepare models.
- Work closely with various retail accounts and many others analysing their short- or long-term forecasts and season commitments, stock-sales (POS) analysis.
- Oversee the shipment department, identify cost and time saving opportunities to improve logistical operations, liaising with suppliers locally and internationally to improve lea time, resolve issues and authorise payments.
- Responsible for utilising the forecasting and replenishment system in order to optimise inventory levels, inventory classification, forecasting, stock level strategies and safety stock planning across various UK warehouses.

Reporting and Data analysis
- Critically evaluate and validate information from large sets of data to understand the underlying requirements of the business by accurately using ERP, MS Excel modelling and SAP-Crystal Reports.
- Devise and update various business reports from everyday stock-sales (EPOS) analysis to yearly financial budget and sales-targets reports for key stakeholders.
- Effective contribution at various meetings through presentations and data interpretation by breaking large complex data down into simpler forms for better understanding.

Additionally
- Present insightful data in a clear and concise format aligned to the end-user's needs, must be analytical with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience generating reports and analysing existing reports - forecasting and predicting future sales trends
- Strong stakeholder management including 3rd party management
- Experience working with 3RD party suppliers is an essential requirement from this role
- Great analytical skills to monitor current demand and spotting gaps in the current supply
- Building and maintaining relationships external partners/customers
- Confident influencing stakeholders, expressing your opinions clearly and concisely whilst being able to listen and take opinions on board
- Experience with product pricing would be an advantage
- Reporting and forecasting experience and a strong attention to detail is essential
- Develop and drive new insight into Supply Chain's performance through data analysis and its interpretation
- Identify, prioritise and implement logistical process improvements across the business
- Provide routine and ad hoc information to the management team to support operational decision-making
- To ensure forecasts and supplier orders are accurate and timely for all lines to drive full availability.
- To resolve or escalate all supplier performance issues impacting availability.



Some skills and attributes
Software skills required
1. MS Excel -Intermediate to Advanced preferred
a. Confident with formulas, Pivot tables
b. Macro knowledge desirable but not a requirement
c. Previous experience in data / excel models preferred
2. ERP System (AMS or any other ERP's)
a. ERP systems previous knowledge desirable
b. Understand value of data and how it integrates with inflicts other procedures

Reporting and data Skills
1. Confident working with numbers and generating reports from scratch
2. Understand needs of business to deliver reporting to the point

Knowledge / Experience
1. End to end supply chain knowledge
2. Data handling and analysis experience
3. Understanding purchasing, logistics and shipments at least basics knowledge
4. Operations knowledge

Personal Attributes
1. Break down complex to simpler procedures - root cause analysis (Investigate)
2. Multi-tasking essential
3. Work well under pressure environment
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills
5. Experience with working with stakeholders / overseas suppliers at different time zones
6. Creative working towards solutions proactive not reactive, keen to improve business and save costs
