A fantastic opportunity has arisen with our successful client based in Uxbridge for a Logistics Controller to join their fun and friendly team! The successful candidate will play a key part in the Operations for the branch, they will be a motivated and driven to deliver of high standard to customers.

My Client is a successful large nationwide organisation, they are looking for someone who is great on the telephone. You'll be joining a small team within a large office, there is opportunity to progress within the organisation for the successful candidate.

Role Purpose:

To arrange the efficient delivery and collection of a replacement vehicle to our customers following their non-fault accident. Part of our Logistics Team responsible for the management of our fleet of 500+ mix of prestige, mainstream and commercial vehicles.

You will work closely with internal and external customers to provide an outstanding service and also maximise profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise closely with our First Response team to ensure a suitable vehicle is supplied to our customer and their damaged vehicle uplifted as quickly as possible.
  • Regular contact with our customers to ensure delivery and collections arrangements are made in the most efficient way for both them and the business.
  • Liaise daily with our satellite hub controllers to plan and maximise the efficient use of our fleet and delivery drivers.
  • Effectively managing vehicles movements, generating the required paperwork and clearly recording all action notes within our Proclaim system
  • Dealing with any damage, faults, servicing and de-fleet requirements as part of the general management of our fleet.
  • Carefully checking all documentation returned to the dept. to ensure processes have been followed correctly.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

Essential Skills:

  • Must possess a strong knowledge and interest in vehicles
  • Have experience working in a related industry e.g. bodyshop, tyre and exhaust centre, dealership or similar.
  • A sound UK geographical knowledge to help determine the most efficient use of our fleet and drivers
  • Outgoing personality and ability to build effective relationships with colleagues
  • Previous experience of delivering outstanding customer service and be able to demonstrate these skills
  • Strong PC skills and ability to effectively maintain different systems, once trained.
  • Have a 'can do' attitude and an ability to think 'outside the box'
  • Be able to work under pressure and still maintain a high attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a motor claims related field
  • A mechanical knowledge of vehicles
