Our client, an international company with Headquarters in Bracknell are looking for a Motorcycle PR Events and Comms Manager

This is an amazing opportunity to join a fast-paced Corporate Communications and Motor Sports Division responsible for both automobile and motorcycle PR, social media, corporate and internal communications, and numerous racing activities.

We are offering the right individual the exciting and dynamic position of Motorcycle PR Events and Comms Manager as part of a team of three people responsible for external communications relating to all new motorcycle model launches and 'lifecycle' PR activity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, budgeting and operation of up to six Pan-European journalist riding events per year, the purpose of which is to create positive media coverage by giving journalists the chance to test major new products in the most suitable environments possible. Similar involvement in follow-up 'lifecycle' activities, 'customisation' shows and product reveal press conferences will also form a key part of the role.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the creation of effective press information for all media, and product briefing notes for use by branch PRs. The role will involve close communication with all PR teams across Europe to help them communicate with their local media.

Main Responsibilities:

Organisation of Pan-European Journalist Test Sessions
- Full responsibility for the planning and execution of journalist riding test sessions for new motorcycle products, including:
- Budget planning and cost monitoring
- Event concept and format creation - location, route, hotel selection
- Presentation of plans to internal stakeholders within both the MC Division and CC & MS Division
- Ordering of all motorcycles and spare parts management of logistics for timely arrival
- Reconnaissance trips with partner agencies
- Coordination of all partner agencies (event management, photography, video) to provide all necessary event operational and technical support
- Liaison with all branches to ensure the correct level of journalist attendance
- Liaison with partner R&D colleagues in Japan and Europe
- Attendance at each event to ensure smooth operations - up to 80 days European travel per year
- Handling of risk assessments and on-site emergencies
- Management of agencies to provide of all journalists' on-site requirements
- Organisation of company participation in other events with Pan-European aspects - 'customisation' shows, lifecycle activities for important models outside of launch window, etc.

Organisation of press conferences for European new model reveals
- Support in planning reveal events including event concept and venue selection
- Liaison with relevant business departments to provide all necessary units
- Management of event agencies to ensure successful operation, and timely delivery of all necessary materials to attending journalists
- Coordination with all branches to ensure all stakeholders are present

Creation of effective written PR resources for all MC products and events
- Briefing of copywriter to create press information for all new models editing and checking of all texts including technical specifications
- Creation of product messaging notes for all branch PRs before initial reveals and riding events
- Creation of product presentations for presentation at riding events
- Develop newsworthy, impactful activity plans to maintain media coverage on vehicles beyond their launch window
- Work together with European Social Media Section Manager, to develop social media activity plans for new models
- Review and action opportunities for ad-hoc activity to generate incremental PR coverage
- Provide brief to European PR Operations Manager for insight into the performance of launch and lifecycle campaigns, completing full review on all activities.

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

- Must have relevant previous experience in an event organisation and/or communications role
- Valid Passport
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
- Experience or genuine interest in the motorcycle sector strongly preferred

Key competencies and personal qualities:
- Relationship management skills, able to work with PR teams and agencies at a number of different levels of expertise across Europe
- Deadline-orientated and able to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritise and plan effectively, with strong attention to detail
- Project planning, management and logistics skills, an eye for detail
- Confidence to create new relationships within European HQ and across Europe
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a diverse groups of individuals from all nations across Europe and in Japan
- Native-level command of English strong written skills preferable
- Strong understanding of the creation of impactful written content for use by European media and on company own channels
- Knowledge of the changing use of digital and social media
- Ability to deal with confidential information
- Competent IT skills
- Positive, outgoing, enthusiastic attitude
- Proactive work ethic
