Fantastic opportunity to join a well established and growing business in Addlestone.

Our client is a market leader in their sector and they are looking for Purchase Ledger Executive to join their team on fixed term contract basis which could become permanent.

Working hours are Monday- Friday 09:00-17:15.


The core function of this role will be dealing with the purchase ledger including processing supplier invoices through the approval process, posting to the system and setting up payment runs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase ledger coordination. Daily posting of invoices.
  • Ensuring the authorisation, posting and payment of all supplier invoices is done in accordance with the firm's purchase ledger system and policies.
  • Weekly payment runs, both electronic and cheque, for purchase ledger items and expenses.
  • Processing occasional ad-hoc payments when necessary
  • Weekly reconciliation of the Supplier Ledger to the trail balance for sign off
  • Provide cover for any members of the Accounts team.
  • Ad hoc projects as and when they arise; flexibility will be key.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication and team working skills with an approachable, motivated and proactive attitude.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • IT Literate with good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience of working in a finance department
  • Knowledge of accruals and prepayments is desired
