Our client, a leading Commercial Company based in the West London area are currently recruiting for a Risk Analyst on a contractual basis. This position will be for a period of 6 months with possible extension; and will see you being responsible for planning and executing proactive risk assessments, risk based controls monitoring plans and compliance initiatives over different business processes to assessment controls.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with Supply Chain Finance and assisting in evaluating risks, designing and documenting controls for new products or processes, continually monitoring for changes in the existing control environment
  • Performing risk assessments over process operations and validating outcomes with the line manager
  • Performing root cause analysis for various process issues identified and partnering with the organisation to develop corrective actions and plan implementations
  • Providing training to operational staff based on the outcome of risk assessments and ensuring that key control and SOX training is provided to new testers on a regular basis
  • Supporting period end financial closing activities to proactively manage risks and ensure compliance
  • Supporting the statutory audit to ensure timely completion of audits or compliance reporting

Person Specification:

  • ACCA, CIMA or Chartered Accountant - minimum 2 years post qualification experience with previous relevant experience
  • Must have strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills in particular are essential
  • Familiar and confident with financial accounting systems and have knowledge of SAP finance-related modules
  • Experience of SAP is preferred - accounting and processing of the system
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments
  • Good accountancy competencies with strong reconciliation and analytical skills
  • In depth experience of Finance, Accounting and Auditing processes, preferably in a multinational environment
  • The ability to communicate effectively to and influence senior management is required
