Our International client based in Chessington, Surrey are currently recruiting for a Workshop Technician to commence ASAP on a Full-Time Permanent basis.

Please note: the hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Mon-Fri

Workshop / Stores Support on Fare Collection Systems:

  • Carry out Technical upgrades/repairs/refurbishments on a wide range of products.
  • Carry out electro mechanical repairs within a workshop environment.
  • Carry out fine adjustments to equipment to an accurate standard.
  • Have experience with Bench test equipment including the use of PC based test equipment.
  • Be available for Technical Support to customers and field staff via the telephone.
  • To assist in the day to day operation of all aspects of the Stores, including packing, dispatch stock picking and assisting in audits
  • To ensure that general work areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • To be prepared to work on customer sites (stations / offices) if required.


  • To assist in the collation of reports and statistics on various departmental issues.
  • Ensure that all Parts Replaced / repaired are documented effectively.


  • Ensure that non contract work carried out is properly documented and authorised in writing by the customer to ensure payment from the customer can be processed effectively

Health & Safety

  • Be aware at all times of the Company Health and Safety policies
  • Be aware at all times of the Health and Safety policies and instructions that prevail at your place of work
  • Ensure that Personal Protective Equipment is maintained and is worn appropriately
  • Report all Incidents and Accidents as instructed in a timely manner
  • Comply with all traffic regulations while in charge of company vehicles
  • Observe the Drugs and Alcohol Policy


  • Complete all necessary Work Dockets and Reports as requested as part of the Service and Maintenance procedures

Common daily duties

  • Complete necessary time sheets and expense claims
  • Assist in producing weekly and monthly reports
  • Any other duties as required
