My client is seeking a competent accurate and efficient Bookkeeping to join their team.

The post holder will need to manage and drive good financial processes in the organisation and work across different teams to ensure that financial data is received completely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Xero accounting, review and enter transactions correctly and consistently
  • Receive expenses claims from staff, set up process for submitting these in a consistent manner, ensure approval and payment
  • Monitor cash position
  • Review customer payments and agree to chase any outstanding invoices with the accounts receivable manager
  • Review the payables and ensure invoices are approved and payments are made in a timely manner
  • Instruct payroll and post to Xero. Ensure payroll payments are posted and balance sheet is reconciled at the end of each month
  • Reconcile the entire balance sheet. Ensure the release of prepayments and accruals where appropriate
  • Post a corporation tax estimate
  • Run the Profit & Loss reports for management to review
  • Book revenue adjustments in line with the front-end system reports
  • Review the VAT return and ensure the correct VAT codes have been used. Submit to HMRC and ensure timely payment (or Direct Debit in place)


  • Ideally qualified or part qualified ACCA or ACA
  • VAT Returns
  • Previous Bookkeeping experience
  • Xero experience is essential
