Parkside Recruitment are looking for a Systems integration Engineer.

Role:

We are looking for an Engineer (Systems Integration) with a working knowledge of work on MOD projects or Defence equivalent.

Duties:

  • Look at the research, relationships, tests, and evaluation of cutting-edge sensor Technology.
  • Prepare and generate technical assessments, maintaining project registers.
  • Produce high-quality technical notes, documents, configuration manuals, drawings that relate to the integration of the selected sensors. Producing them in the most professional and commercial manner using company templates, whilst following relevant processes and procedures.
  • Be required to visit other sites, exhibitions, and trade shows. Will include some international travel.
  • Conduct system integration and testing of selected sensors following approved testing methods.
  • Liaising with the system design authority, firmware, and software leads. This will be to fix and test issues, patches, faults, to help develop enhanced ability and performance.
  • Achieve mutually acceptable deadlines and provide status reports at Weekly management meetings.
  • Be able to provide technical training and demonstrations to sponsors.

Relevant Qualifications and Experience:

  • UK Passport and clean UK Driver's License.
  • Must hold UK-NSV Security Clearance and be willing to undertake advanced vetting.
  • Have the ability to assess technical information from manufacturer's data sheets and make considered recommendations toward authenticity and correctness.
  • 3-5 years Technical/Engineering background in embedded systems testing or maintenance.
  • Be able to communicate effectively at all levels with all stakeholders.
  • Possess an ability to fault find via logical sequence and test equipment.
  • Must have a knowledge of video streaming, dynamic bit rates, various codex, resolution, frame rates and use of media players such as VLC.
  • A background in multi-media or embedded systems.
  • Working knowledge of delivering into MOD projects or Defence equivalent.
  • Linux, C/C++ and C#
  • Linux or Windows CLI.
  • Royal Signals or similar Engineering or Technical Training
