I am looking to recruit an Freight and Customs Operator with previous experience in Road and/or Sea and Air for a company based in Bracknell. The role will be paying £25-34Kpa depending on experience, Monday to Friday, 8.00-5.30pm
Good analytical and excellent organisational skills are essential, and you must work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries.
This role will suit candidates that have an interest within the transport and customs clearance industry.
Full training and support will be given for this role where required.
Duties include:
Calculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignment
Processing Import/Export declarations
Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and any other documentation requirements
Dealing with freight partners to ensure smooth collection, transit through customs points & delivery.
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws, and customs procedures
Additional European language would be beneficial but not a pre-requisite.
Hours are 8:00am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday
