IT Manager

An Excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Manager to work for a global client based in Slough.

Responsible for the provision of IT services in the UK. In this responsibility the position is to ensure the availability of IT infrastructure services and applications according to the Infrastructure standards and IT Global Application roadmap. Work as IT partner with the business teams in developing and implementing the IT strategies and plans for the UK organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate IT activities for the UK organisation
• Maintain IT policies/procedures in accordance to IT policies and procedures
• Ensuring IT service management
• Ensure IT systems and infrastructure availability
• Identifies and audit risk concerns. Develops and executes steps to mitigate them
• Provide disaster recovery processes and procedures
• Provide Consultation on IT to local business
• Implement and ensure High Cybersecurity standards
• Develop and communicate local IT strategy in line with the overall IT strategy and mission and the needs of internal and external customers
• Earn commitment and ensure the roll-out of the local IT strategy with the help of direct reports, peers and management
• Foster the use of new digital tools to drive business
• Follow trends in digitisation
• Interact with central IT departments and competence centres
• Evaluate the impact of these training programs and adapt future trainings
• Promote the use of new digital technologies and fosters efficient ways to use IT solutions

Skills & Experience

• Degree educated in Information & Communication Technology or relevant work experience
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of IT working experience preferably in a manufacturing company
• Minimum 2 - 3 years relevant project management experience leading projects
