My client is worldwide organisation who are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join their team. You will be joining a diverse motivated team who are passionate about what they do.

  • Development of partnerships with investigators, opinion leaders and healthcare professionals (HCPs)
  • Be seen as the credible scientific expert from the field
  • Publications (abstracts, posters, case studies and peer-reviewed papers)
  • Scientific support
  • Input and/or attendance at medical, educational programmes, advisory boards and training
  • contributing to and supporting head office medical advisor and medical affairs manager to deliver the medical affairs plan as agreed
  • Management of External scientific Partnerships
  • Provide medical support as part of a cross-functional team to relevant clinical development studies
  • Close cross-functional working with office medical, sales and commercial colleagues
  • Scientific Projects
  • Ensure that prevailing legislation, local requirements including SOPs, and the appropriate Codes of Practice and Regulatory requirements are fulfilled
  • Contribute proactively to a credible image for the affiliate in the local Health Care and Medical community

Skills

  • Degree level qualified to at least BSc level (MSc / PhD / MPharm)
  • Commercially aware and how to operate compliantly with respect to codes and regulations
  • Therapy area experience in rheumatology/nephrology preferred
  • Experience of working in a pre-license environment
  • Significant medical/clinical experience as MSL the UK pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent ability to understand, process, communicate and present scientific information to a high standard appropriate to the audience
  • Product launch experience ideally within nephrology / rheumatology
  • Excellent influencing, networking, presentation and communication skills and a proven track record of team cross-functional team working
  • Willingness to travel, mainly within the UK, and at times within Europe or further afield
