Payroll Officer (Part-Time 24 hours per week)

Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 (pro rata) depending on skills and experience.

Location: Harefield, Uxbridge (Car driver required due to location).

Availability to start work: January/February 2022

Leading scaffolding, roofing, and brickwork contractors in London/M25 boundary with a turnover of circa £25million per annum. The LTC Group have worked on some of the most prestigious projects with some of the world's largest Main Contractors.

Due to our expanding business and continued success, we are now looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Finance team. The role will be based in our Harefield Office (parking on site) working 24 hours a week. One week in each month there maybe a requirement to work additional hours for the posting of the monthly payrolls.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Processes Group 6 x payrolls (4 Monthly, 2 Weekly, total of 120 employees) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Create and maintain employees' payroll records
  • Process all starters and leavers in line with Group requirements.
  • Calculate wages and applicable deductions based on employee attendance and timesheet records.
  • Enter payroll information into central system for processing
  • Issues employees' payslips and earnings summaries
  • Completes payroll reports
  • Completes all reporting to third parties including HMRC, Pension Funds etc
  • Respond to staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records
  • Manage Death in service policy.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years' experience of working in a payroll position
  • Previous experience in construction payroll advantageous
  • Professional Payroll qualification advantageous
  • Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Effective communicator, approachable and diligent
  • Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll
  • Capable of Working with Minimal Supervision
  • Experience in using Evolution M software would be seen as an advantage
