My client a well known leading pharmaceutical company are looking for an experienced Procurement specialist to support in the delivery of end to end strategic sourcing solutions across the procurement portfolio and to optimize procurement performance across the EMEA region . The ideal candidate will be able to balance the requirements of managing sourcing process with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders you will also be driving through the development of supplier performance improvement and management program as well as supporting on the delivery of high level procurement service to the internal customer.

    • Manage and determine supplier relationships and work with internal staff to develop strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver optimum benefits in pricing and levels of service
    • Identify and qualify to appropriate standards potential suppliers in order to secure cost effective sources of products & services
    • Maintain awareness of local economic and business conditions in order to support the business and respond to changes as necessary. Maintain industry knowledge for key products and services to address the strategic direction of the business
    • Prepare and analyse RFPs' and RFQ's
    • Negotiate with consultants and contractors regarding specifications, scope of work, prices, terms and conditions
    • Assist in drafting, reviewing, negotiating and routing contracts for execution
    • Engage with procurement planning with EU Procurement Lead and departments as required
    • Effectively communicate relevant Procurement policies
    • Maintain the integrity of the Procurement Process
    • In consultation with the EU Procurement Lead, negotiate & secure best price/quality for major areas of spend
    • Develop & maintain "rate" cards for service providers used regularly
    • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality of service
    • Liaise with department representatives responsible for procurement to ensure needs are being met whilst meeting the company standards
    • Continually challenge operational requirements and supplier spend, identifying and critiquing cost and contract variations and direct the business towards the Preferred Suppliers to ensure a high level of compliance is attained
    • Support EU Procurement Lead to undertake a supplier risk categorization mechanism in line with compliance guidelines
    • Develop a due diligence process for suppliers according to the above risk rating
    • Perform Financial due diligence with the assistance of Finance representatives for new Suppliers.
    • In collaboration with the master data team and EU Procurement Lead, co-ordinate and review current supplier database to reduce number of suppliers year on year
    • Roll out Modern Slavery Strategy as agreed
    • Cover in the absence of EU Procurement Lead
