A well established, client of mine based in Uxbridge are looking for a Buyer to join their hardworking team based in their head office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Managing Director with new product launches, selecting the appropriate product ranges and building relationships with suppliers over the UK, Europe and Asia. This position would suit someone looking for a new and exciting opportunity with previous buying experience.

Location: Uxbridge (Parking on-site)

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

Salary: (Dependant on experience)

Key duties:

  • Building and gaining relationships with suppliers to ensure the most effective working relationship at the best retail costs
  • Agree and negotiate ranges and margins with suppliers
  • Negotiating promotional and media supplier funding to achieve targets
  • Scheduling delivery dates with suppliers and the Warehouse Manager, ensuring available storage is available
  • Monthly sales analysis of KPI's for your categories
  • Ad hoc visits to suppliers, trade shows and related competitors

  • Excellent negotiation skills
