Tax Semi Senior

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tax Compliance:

   • Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, or organizations.
   • Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns to meet deadlines.
   • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

2. Tax Research:

   • Conduct research on various tax issues and provide recommendations to Tax Seniors or Managers.
   • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and their potential impact on clients or the organization.

3. Client Support:

   • Communicate with clients to gather necessary tax-related information and address inquiries.
   • Assist in developing tax strategies and solutions to minimize tax liabilities.
   • Provide advice on tax planning and compliance.

4. Financial Analysis:

   • Analyze financial data to determine tax implications and optimize tax strategies.
   • Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.

5. Documentation and Record Keeping:

   • Maintain organized and accurate tax records and documentation.
   • Ensure compliance with document retention policies.

6. Audit Support:

   • Assist with tax audits, including preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

7. Software and Technology:

   • Utilize tax software and tools to prepare returns and conduct tax research efficiently.
   • Stay updated on the latest tax software and technology trends.

8. Team Collaboration:

   • Work collaboratively with other members of the tax team and professionals from other departments.
   • Assist in mentoring and training junior staff.

9. Continuing Education:

   • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance tax knowledge and skills.
   • Pursue relevant certifications, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA), if applicable.
