Job Title: CNC Machinist

Salary: £15.00 – £18.00 per hour

Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 15:48)
Holidays: 25 days annual leave (January–December) + 8 Bank Holidays

Company OverviewParkside Recruitment are looking for a CNC Machinist to our clients team in Ruislip.
Role Overview As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision-engineered components. You will ensure all parts are manufactured to engineering specifications, quality standards, and within defined timescales.
Key Responsibilities - Set up and operate CNC turning machines (Mazak experience beneficial but not essential)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments for accuracy and quality
- Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometres, and CMMs
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety standards
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve processes and production efficiency
- Adhere to production schedules and meet delivery deadlines
Skills and Experience - Minimum 1 year experience in a CNC machining or similar precision engineering role (preferred)
- Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques
- Competency in reading engineering drawings and using measurement tools
- Familiarity with tooling setup and maintenance
- Knowledge of Mazatrol or other CNC programming languages is desirable
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Hours - Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 15:48
- 39 hours per week
- Includes a half-hour lunch break and two 15-minute tea breaks (morning and afternoon)
