Electro Mechanical Engineer Location: Site-based across Northern Ireland

Our client is a global leader in secure products and services for the financial sector, operating across the UK and Ireland. They are now looking for an Electro Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering Team, supporting critical production environments across multiple secure client sites in Northern Ireland.
This is a site-based role working on a rotational basis, involving planned maintenance, reactive breakdown repair, and installation of production equipment. The successful candidate will work independently in secure environments and act as the sole on-site engineering representative, requiring a high level of professionalism, responsibility, and technical competence.
Key Responsibilities - Safe and compliant methods of working in secure environments
- Planned servicing and preventative maintenance of production equipment
- Reactive breakdown repair to minimise downtime
- Installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Fault finding and root cause analysis
- Effective handover of equipment to production operators
- Stock management and parts control
- Accurate completion of all maintenance records, logs, and documentation
- Adherence to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards
- Lone working and customer-facing site presence
Candidate Requirements - Formal Electrical or Mechanical qualification (preferred)
- Proven experience in electrical fault finding (including single-phase HV equipment)
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience (motors, gears, encoders, bearings, clutches, etc.)
- In-depth control systems knowledge
- Computer literate (Windows, Excel, Word – DOS knowledge advantageous)
- Analytical thinker with the ability to work under time pressure
- Professional, reliable, and comfortable working independently
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
