Financial Accountant
Temporary role: 5 months
Pay rate: £20.000 - £28.00 per hour
Location: Fully Office based in Slough

We are working with a well-established organisation based in Slough who are looking to recruit a Financial Accountant on a temporary contract for 5 months to support the wider finance function and play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close and audit preparation.

This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified or qualified-by-experience accountant who enjoys working across core financial accounting as well as supporting FP&A reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the month-end close process, producing timely and accurate management accounts
  • Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, working capital and cashflow reports
  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and regulatory filings
  • Support the external audit process, including preparing schedules and responding to audit queries
  • Work across the wider finance function, supporting General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and FP&A reporting
  • Ensure strong financial controls and continuous improvement of reporting processes
About You
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role covering financial accounting / FP&A exposure
  • Proven experience of month-end close processes
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience using ERP and reporting tools such as Dynamics 365, OneStream, Power BI, SQL or similar is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative finance team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
