Junior Buyer
Location: Rochdale, Manchester
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum

Parkside Recruitment are looking for a Junior Buyer to join a busy purchasing team supporting supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–4 years’ experience in a similar role who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers
  • Monitor market trends and pricing
  • Build and manage supplier relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing
  • Support timely material supply for production
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
Requirements:
  • 2–4 years’ experience in a purchasing, buying, or procurement role
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to read technical drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar)
  • Willing to travel internationally if needed
Desirable:
  • Experience in engineering or manufacturing
  • Working towards or holding a CIPS qualification
