Role: Junior Buyer
Location: Rochdale, Manchester
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £31,000 per annum
Parkside Recruitment are looking for a Junior Buyer to join a busy purchasing team supporting supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–4 years’ experience in a similar role who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities: - Source and evaluate new suppliers
- Monitor market trends and pricing
- Build and manage supplier relationships
- Negotiate contracts and pricing
- Support timely material supply for production
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and logistics teams
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
Requirements: - 2–4 years’ experience in a purchasing, buying, or procurement role
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Able to read technical drawings
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar)
- Willing to travel internationally if needed
Desirable: - Experience in engineering or manufacturing
- Working towards or holding a CIPS qualification
