We are looking for an Ocean Freight Specialist in the Purfleet Thurrock area
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end ocean freight import and export shipments.
- Coordinate Full Container Load (FCL) movements.
- Manage cross-trade shipments
- Prepare and manage shipping and customs documentation.
- Ensure shipments are processed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Handle customs entries and ensure compliance with relevant customs requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within ocean freight / sea freight forwarding.
- knowledge of import and export procedures.
- Proven experience with FCL shipments.
- Experience managing cross-trade freight.
- Good understanding of customs procedures and documentation.
- Experience using freight forwarding and customs systems, ideally one of the following:
- Destin8
- CargoWise
- e-Customs
- NES
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
