About the Role We’re looking for a
Sales Development Manager to take ownership of driving sales growth for a national own-brand product range. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong footprint in the FMCG sector, where you’ll be at the forefront of shaping sales strategies, building brand advocacy, and ensuring growth across both company-owned and independent stores.
The role will involve working closely with regional teams, marketing, and business development colleagues to deliver innovative trade-driving campaigns and execute plans that make a real impact in a competitive convenience market.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute sales development plans across multiple regions to drive growth.
- Define and implement trade-driving activities such as meal deals, multi-buy offers, and value-led campaigns.
- Lead the brand communications strategy, ensuring consistent tone, style, and content across all platforms.
- Build brand awareness and advocacy through strong engagement with internal teams, regional partners, and independent retailers.
- Represent the brand at trade shows and regional meetings, ensuring impactful presence and messaging.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving action plans.
- Manage allocated budgets, including trade shows, marketing campaigns, and brand promotions.
What We’re Looking For:
Degree educatedMinimum
5 years’ experience in FMCG roles within retail and/or supplier environments
Strong background in
buying, selling, or category management
Proven ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills
Passionate, driven, and able to thrive in a
matrix organisation
Desirable: - Experience in stakeholder engagement strategies and communication planning
