Key Requirements:
- Proven expertise in gas welding, brazing, and silver soldering, especially with brass and steel.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with preheating techniques and their importance in achieving weld quality.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality results.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime when necessary.
- Able to follow detailed instructions and work both independently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform gas welding, brazing, and silver soldering on brass and steel components to create durable canisters.
- Preheat materials to prevent cracking and achieve optimal weld quality.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to apply the correct welding techniques.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain and ensure the safety of welding equipment and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues, adjusting techniques as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines and quality expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document welding activities and promptly report any issues to management.
