Air Conditioning Engineer (Rail Infrastructure) Permanent | £40,000 per annum

We are a well-established construction and building services contractor, delivering maintenance and project works across critical rail infrastructure. We are currently seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.

This role primarily covers C2C and Greater Anglia rail locations, however engineers must be prepared to attend any site during working hours. Please note: working time is door-to-door, so travel is fully accounted for.

Key Requirements
  • FGAS qualified
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working as an AC Engineer
  • Strong background in reactive and planned maintenance
  • Comfortable working across rail environments
  • Flexible approach to travel, callouts, and occasional weekend work
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:30
  • Additional hours may be required depending on workload
  • Occasional weekend working
  • Out-of-hours callout rota:
    • 1 week in every 4
    • Covering reactive faults between 17:30 – 08:00
    • Locations from Liverpool Street to Shoeburyness
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on all AC equipment listed on the client asset register
  • Complete PPMs in line with client specifications
  • Compile remedial works lists following PPM visits
  • Make recommendations on plant condition and submit Life Expired reports where required
  • Assist the Contracts Manager with costing remedial works
  • Order job materials and manage associated paperwork
  • Take deliveries, check delivery notes, and pass to the foreman
  • Complete worksheets accurately and submit to Head Office each Friday
  • Attend training and Health & Safety courses as directed
  • Follow site accident and incident reporting procedures
