Job Summary:
Parkside Recruitment are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams, managing timelines, ensuring quality standards, and liaising with clients to deliver successful outcomes. This role requires exceptional organisational, communication, and leadership skills to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee end-to-end project lifecycles, from initial planning and resource allocation to final delivery and post-project evaluation.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to align project goals and execution.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and providing updates on project progress, timelines, and any potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or issues.
  • Prepare project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the sales team with project scoping and technical input during the proposal phase.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and work collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Solid experience in budget management, project planning, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to foresee and address project challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, or similar software).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience in precision engineering sectors such as aerospace, automotive, or medical.
  • Familiarity with LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
